Abstract:
The aim of this project is to sense the objects of different colors using color sensor by using robotic hand and place it on a plotted place within its vicinity. Robot is a system that contains sensors, control systems, manipulators, power supplies and software all working together to perform a task. Designing, building, programming and testing a robot is a combination of physics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, structural engineering, mathematics and computing.
In this project, we are using a color sensor which senses the difference between difference colors based on the intensity of light perceived by them. And a robotic arm with a pick and place module designed with a combination of geared motors serves the purpose of picking the object and placing them in the plotted place which is predefined. An ADC is used in our project to convert the color intensity values to digital, so that they can be fed to the controller. We are also using an H-Bridge (L293D) which acts as a driver to the motors to make them rotate in to and fro directions. Here an LCD will also be provided to display the color of the object.
This project uses regulated 5V, 500mA power supply. 7805 three terminal voltage regulator is used for voltage regulation. Bridge type full wave rectifier is used to rectify the ac output of secondary of 230/12V step down transformer.
