Abstract:
In this paper a new design of robot that overcomes the disadvantages of the present of system design of robot is presented. Many present robot designs are inspired from the movement of animals in the animal kingdom. Likewise this design is inspired from the inchworm. The major disadvantages of present robot designs are they can move only in specific terrains. This inchworm inspired robot can overcome these constraints. This robot designed in this manner has the capability to work in all terrains. And helpful in rescue operations in disaster hit areas.
Existing System:
In the existing design of robots the robots can move only in specific terrains. They can’t be used in all types of terrains. For these reasons a new design of robot is used.
Proposed System: In the proposed system the design of robot is inspired from the inchworm. The movement of robot will be identical to the inchworm. These robots can be used in disaster hit areas. Keypad is used for controlling purposes. The robot design and the movement of robot will be similar to an inchworm. DC motors and spring actuators are used to control the movement of the robot.
